Sacrificial Love in the Making
Posted by Ashleigh Slater on February 22, 2009
This week, as we close our month-long look at sacrifice, we have two articles that discuss sacrifice in marriage: regular contributor Lynette Kittle's "Sacrificial Love in the Making" and an excerpt from Mitch Temple's new book, The Marriage Turnaround: How Thinking Differently About Your Relationship Can Change Everything.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this week's articles. So grab a cup of coffee, take some time to read both pieces, and then come back here and discuss. Also, if you have a story about how God has taught you or someone you know more about sacrifice in marriage, share it here. We'd love to listen!

I just got married last month, but it is interesting for me to experience him thanking me for tiny tiny things. (I should do bigger things...) But perhaps he's trying to cultivate that as a habit. And I think his spirit is one that wants to please in small ways. I should follow his example...
Thanks for the exercept that alluded to the Good Samaritan. Just recently my husband was asked (kind-of; already penciled in) to give a sermon in March. Immediately what came to his mind was the passage on The Good Samaritan. After talking with him a bit, it seems he may do one on a different topic, but, the fact that that story came to his mind immediately is a bit telling of his character...
